How do I merge duplicates safely?

Free: one duplicate group at a time, with at most 3 contacts in that group. Pro is a one-time App Store unlock (price shown in the store)—not a subscription.
Is a .vcf backup required?
No. Merging writes an on-device recovery journal. Exporting a vCard is optional.
Undo and Recovery History
Undo last merge. Recovery History: last 3 merges or deletes, about 30 days, on device.
Notes on secondary contacts
Notes on non-primary cards are not read or migrated during merge. Copy important notes manually before merging if you need them on the primary card.

Contacts are processed on device; we do not upload your address book.
