We are committed to protecting your personal information and being clear about data handling. For App Store nutrition labels, ContactMerge+ is aligned with Data Not Collected regarding your contacts: we do not collect contact content from your device for our own servers.
All contact scanning, matching, preview, merge, undo, and recovery run locally on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit your contact information to our servers. No personal contact data is sent to external servers by the app for processing or analytics. We do not use your contacts for advertising, tracking across apps or websites, or sale to data brokers.
When you merge or delete through ContactMerge+, the app may write a recovery journal on your device so you can use Undo last merge and Recovery History (the last 3 merges or deletes, retained for about 30 days). That journal stays on the device. It is not an upload to us, and it is not the same as exporting a .vcf file (though you may export a vCard backup yourself if you want).
Contacts access is required to scan and merge duplicate contacts. iOS will ask for your permission before the app can access Contacts. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → ContactMerge+ (or Settings → Privacy & Security → Contacts). Contact access is used only for the app’s core features: finding duplicates, previewing, merging, undoing, and local recovery.
In-app purchases (including the Pro one-time unlock) are processed by Apple through StoreKit / the App Store. ContactMerge+ does not receive or store your payment card numbers. Billing, localized price, refunds under Apple’s policies, and purchase restoration are handled by Apple.
ContactMerge+ is designed without collecting analytics or tracking data about your contacts or your use of those contacts. We do not sell personal data and do not track you across third-party apps or websites for advertising.
Operations that involve your contacts run on your device. We do not operate a ContactMerge+ cloud database of your address book. Protect your device with a passcode or biometrics as you normally would for any Contacts-capable app.
ContactMerge+ is not directed at children. Do not use the app to process contacts in a way that violates applicable law.
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. The current version is published at https://www.bigbeefit.com/contactmerge/privacy. Significant changes may also be noted in an App Store update when relevant. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
