Start with Apple Health — or a manual entry
Open Today and choose Connect Apple Health. Allow sleep and heart-rate reading; allow sleep writing only if you want confirmed new manual entries written to Health. The app reads existing records; it does not measure sleep on its own. No account or sign-in is needed. Requires iOS/iPadOS 26+ and watchOS 27+ for Watch.
You can also choose the manual-entry action first. Turn off Write manual records to Apple Health in Settings to save a confirmed entry only on this device. With write-back on but write access denied, a successful save is not guaranteed.
Why is a night or heart rate missing?
Check whether Apple Health has sleep records for that night and whether the app has access. Use Today's date controls and source selection to inspect the relevant night and source. An empty Health read can mean no available data or unavailable access; it cannot prove permission was granted. Heart rate appears only when usable readings overlap the night. Gaps remain gaps.
Add or correct a record
Choose a real past interval, review it, then confirm. Nothing is written before confirmation. With write-back off, the entry stays local. Existing-night corrections, marking awake, hiding and undo only affect this device and leave other Health sources unchanged. Manage already-written samples in the Health app. Future intervals cannot be saved.
Free, Pro and restoring a purchase
Today and about the last 30 days are free. An active annual Pro subscription opens the latest year's moon canvas, available insights, and sleep on the widget and Watch. Go to Settings → View Subscription. If the product cannot load, purchasing is unavailable; the free features still work. Prices come from your App Store storefront.
Use Restore Purchases in Settings or the subscription screen with the Apple account that made the purchase. A completed restore without an active subscription does not unlock Pro. Pending purchases wait for approval. For cancellation, billing or refunds, use Apple's subscription and billing settings; deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Apple billing and subscriptions ↗Widget and Apple Watch
An active subscription and readable Health data are required. Open the Watch app and allow reading on that device. Neither the widget nor Watch writes sleep. They do not receive corrections stored only in the iPhone app. A locked, empty or authorization state is not confirmation that data has synced.
The moon and morning reminders
The moon follows the selected night's duration relative to your display reference. Settings offers 6–9 hours in half-hour steps, default 7.5. It changes the picture, not your records or a health goal. Tap the moon for a summary and expand comparisons when you want detail.
Morning reminders need notification permission and depend on new Health records and system scheduling. They are not guaranteed for every night or immediately after a record. Disable the reminder in Settings if you do not want sleep times shown in notifications.
Changing phones and deleting data
App-only corrections and manual records are local, and their files are excluded from device backups. Do not rely on a developer cloud sync to transfer them. Health records follow Apple's Health availability on each device. Removing the app removes its local files; it does not remove samples already written to Health or cancel a subscription.
Write to a person
Email nine@bigbeefit.com with the app version, device model, system version and steps that lead to the problem. Please redact sleep times, durations and heart rate in screenshots, and do not send raw Health exports, device identifiers or Apple ID passwords. The app helps you review records; it does not diagnose or treat health conditions.
