Pentad (五向) is an on-device time ledger. Entries live in SwiftData on this device. There is no account, no developer server, no advertising, no analytics SDK, and no cross-app tracking. Widgets use the same on-device data through an App Group, and can also log an entry. There is no iCloud or other cloud sync.
The system asks for location permission only the first time you tap Save to create a new entry on the in-app record page. If you allow it, Pentad reads an approximate location, about one hundred meters, and stores a short place name. Declining does not block the save. After location is allowed, saving a new entry again, or logging from a widget, the Lock Screen, Control Center, or Siri, may record another place name. Those paths do not prompt. Reverse geocoding sends that location to Apple's map service. The developer does not receive the coordinates or the place name.
An avatar is only the single photo you tap in the photo picker. It stays on this device. Pentad does not scan your photo library and does not request photo library permission.
From Settings you can export the ledger as JSON or CSV, or send it to Day One after you turn that option on. Day One is optional and hidden by default. Those sends are separate from the location reverse geocoding sends to Apple's map service above. The developer does not receive the coordinates or the place name.
Deleting the app deletes the local data. You can export before you uninstall. For privacy questions, email nine@bigbeefit.com.
