CounterUps Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 8, 2026. This policy explains how CounterUps handles information used by its workout, account, purchase, analytics, and diagnostic features.

Summary

Feature-specific · Apple services · RevenueCat, PostHog, and Sentry · no sale of personal data for third-party advertising.

What CounterUps may process

Depending on the features you use, CounterUps may process workout history, goals and plans, progress, settings, fitness profile information, Apple account information you choose to provide through Sign in with Apple, purchase and entitlement status, app usage events, and crash or technical diagnostics. The app's Apple privacy manifest lists Name, Email Address, User ID, Photos or Videos, and Fitness data for App Functionality.

On-device features and Apple services

Push-up counting and supported camera features use the device camera or sensors to provide the feature you request. Camera processing for counting is performed on the device; recordings or photos that you choose to create remain under your control. If you grant permission, CounterUps can use Apple Health for the stated workout features and can use iCloud / CloudKit for sync or social features. Sign in with Apple is optional. You can review or revoke these permissions in iOS Settings.

RevenueCat and purchases

CounterUps uses RevenueCat to manage in-app purchase records, subscription status, entitlements, restoration, and related technical or attribution metadata. RevenueCat may receive an app user identifier, which can be associated with your Sign in with Apple identifier when you choose to sign in. Apple StoreKit processes the payment transaction; CounterUps does not receive or store your full payment-card details.

PostHog product analytics

CounterUps sends product-usage events to PostHog to understand and improve the app. Depending on the action, events may describe feature interactions, workouts, plans, challenges, paywall or purchase-related states, app version and build, locale, country, membership state, and SDK-generated identifiers. These analytics are used for product operations and improvement, not to sell personal data or build third-party advertising profiles.

Sentry diagnostics

CounterUps uses Sentry to diagnose crashes, errors, performance problems, and other technical issues. Diagnostic events may include device and app information and, where enabled for an error, a screenshot of the app interface. A screenshot could contain information visible on your screen, so please avoid entering sensitive information before reporting a problem.

Service providers and international processing

RevenueCat, PostHog, Sentry, Apple, and other infrastructure providers may process data outside your country or region. They process information to provide their services to CounterUps and under their own privacy terms and retention practices. BigBeeFit does not sell personal data or share it with third parties for third-party advertising.

Your choices, deletion, and requests

You can clear data stored on the device using the app's available controls or by removing the app. Apple Health, iCloud / CloudKit, Sign in with Apple, and App Store purchase records are managed through Apple services and their controls. For data handled by BigBeeFit or a service provider on our behalf, contact nine@bigbeefit.com with a privacy request. We will review requests for access or deletion where we control the data; provider- or Apple-managed records remain subject to their systems and policies.
