CounterUps Plus does not require an account, sign-in, or profile. We do not operate an app backend for your workout or Screen Time data, and we do not include third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.

Last updated: September 5, 2026. This policy explains how CounterUps Plus handles on-device data, Screen Time authorization, and optional camera recognition.

Data stays on your device
Workout history, preferences, entitlements, and related state live in the app sandbox and App Group on your device. The app does not upload video on its own. If you save a clip to Photos or share it, that action is initiated by you, and the destination service (and any iCloud sync) follows that service’s rules.
Screen Time authorization
When you authorize Screen Time through the system Family Controls picker, iOS provides only an opaque token. CounterUps Plus cannot read app names or usage durations from that authorization. You can revoke access anytime in iOS Settings → Screen Time.
On-device camera recognition
When a move uses the camera, frames are processed on device for action recognition only. Inference frames are not written to disk. The app counts or detects motion — it does not provide medical assessment.
Local diagnostic logs
Diagnostic logs stay on your device and roll for about 30 days. They leave the device only when you export them yourself from Settings.
Delete the app to clear local data
Removing CounterUps Plus deletes local app data on that device, including sandbox and App Group state. Media you already copied to Photos remains until you delete it there.
Purchases handled by Apple
Subscriptions and in-app unlocks are processed by Apple StoreKit. CounterUps Plus does not receive or store payment-card numbers. Apple manages billing, localized price, refunds under applicable policy, and purchase restoration.
No selling data, no cross-app tracking
We do not sell personal data and do not track you across apps or websites. CounterUps Plus is a personal self-restraint and workout tool — not a medical device and not an addiction-treatment service. An independent Apple Watch app is planned and is not provided with this version.
